Where fun meets meaningful learning—because first graders are still little, and learning should feel engaging, not overwhelming.
Hi y’all! I’m Carrie Lutz, and I taught in Texas classrooms for over twenty-five years.
First and foremost, I’m a follower of Jesus Christ. I’m also a wife and a mom of two, and those roles have shaped who I am both in and out of the classroom.
I started my blogging and Teachers Pay Teachers journey in 2010 with a clear purpose: to make learning fun for kids. As testing pressures began creeping all the way down to kindergarten, I saw firsthand how it was taking the joy out of learning for my first graders. I knew something had to change, so I began creating resources for K–3 students that keep learning meaningful, engaging, and yes… fun.
When I’m not creating resources for teachers, you’ll usually find me in the kitchen making all things sourdough, cooking for my family, or out in the garden. And if we’re traveling, you can bet we’re camping—my favorite way to get away and slow things down.
I hope you find something here that makes your teaching easier and brings a little more joy into your classroom.
Thanks for stopping by!
Carrie
